At Word Alive (1st-6th April 2023) you can know the wonder of God speaking to you, changing and equipping you for all of life, while having time to relax and enjoy time together. It is a holiday away with your CU or Network but as part of the wider Church.
As part of Word Alive 2023, there will be a unique Politics and Law Network track partnering with a variety of friends including Tim Farron MP.
We are thrilled to be working with Tim Farron MP and the UCCF Law Network. We will be exploring what it means to live as a Christian at work and receiving top training and advice about the legal freedoms we have as Christians in this country. Tim will then help us think through how we defend the gospel and the goodness of Jesus in our present political climate with all its challenges and opportunities.
If you're a Politics student or someone hoping to go into the public square after you graduate, then the joint Politics and Law Network track is a must for you! It will help you to think about how to engage with the big political questions and how to live as a faithful Christian, in the political context, both now and in the future. You will have the opportunity to meet other like-minded people (both students and those working in public service) and help you think about how you will transition into the working world.
Each day there will be a seminar filled with opportunities to receive teaching, ask questions and have discussions. On top of that, there are discussion groups each day where you meet as a smaller group to think about what you have heard, discuss it, share challenges and pray together.
The cost of a place is £140 per person.
We hope you can join us. Please do book your place with your CU. We don't want money to be a barrier to people receiving this training and teaching and so would love to offer you the opportunity to apply for a bursary should you need one. Contact Tom Kendall at politics@uccf.org.uk to find out more.
Please note: If you attend Word Alive with a Network bursary we ask that you attend that Network track and the Network discussion groups. If you have any questions, please get in touch with your Network Coordinator via the relevant website.
